Frequently Asked Questions

Are you licensed and Insured?

Yes we are a fully licensed builder in the state of Michigan. We are your one stop shop for your residential building projects. We are able to offer services that contractors that are licensed M&A contractors can not offer. We are fully Insured Liability and Workman’s comp.

How long have you been in business?

Ion construction was started in 2015. I started working for another contractor when I was 14 years old and never left the trades. As I got older I wanted to be able to support my family and have time to watch my kids grow up. This was how I started Ion construction.

What separates you from another contractor?

First off, I am fully Licensed. There are still many other contractors that are fully licensed, but there are many that are not, and only possess an M&A license. Second, I Treat all my customers like family. I want everyone to be 100% satisfied when we are completed with the project. Once we are completed with their project we are gone, and the homeowner then has to look and live with it. Therefore, we take the time to make sure everyone is completely satisfied.

Do you use subcontractors on your projects?

Yes, Being a licensed builder, we still need to use different licensed mechanical contractors such as plumbers, HVAC, and Electricians. We like to keep a large majority of things “in house”. My crew does a huge part of the project from start to finish. The homeowner gets to meet the foreman at the beginning of the project and is in contact with them the entire time. That way, we are able to have quality control over our projects, and the projects can go as smoothly as possible and quickly as possible. My subcontractors I use are very reliable and may cost a little bit more money, but everyone knows, you get what you pay for. I do not take the lowest bidder on my projects because they usually are not very reliabe and will slow the projects down.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We are happy to share that we now accept all major credit cards for payment, along with personal check and cash.
